Pair of bent plywood chairs designed by Bruno Weil for Thonet. The ergonomically-shaped backrest and scooped seat make this chair as comfortable as it is eye-catching.
Thonet has long been known for its craftsmanship and considered design. The company’s patented wood bending process was an important milestone in creating attractive, yet affordable furniture. Founded in Austria in the 1800s, the company expanded to the United States in 1941. Since then, many influential designers including Mies Van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer have collaborated with Thonet to produce iconic chairs.
There is some wear on the wood, but overall these are in excellent condition.
