Lubert-Adler Real Estate Funds, one of Philadelphia’s preeminent real estate developers, recently relocated to 2400 Market Street, an ambitious mixed-used building overlooking the Schuylkill River. The sophisticated workspace features sweeping views of 30th Street Station and brims with upscale design details.

Provenance’s team was involved from the very beginning of the project through the final stages. Early involvement included walkthroughs to identify appropriate materials and efficient installation methods. Engineered live sawn white oak flooring was one of the first elements chosen to unify the space. Chevron flooring accents several areas such as the library and elevator vestibule. Because of the office’s unique layout, the architect requested a complex layout of boards that meet in many different directions. With our precision milling techniques, Provenance excelled at the task.

Custom ipe paneling was another integral element in the office’s design. The reclaimed wood was resawn, and then fabricated into panels in varying thicknesses to create a highly dimensional surface. Built to exacting specifications, the panels sit flush against glass doors and concrete pillars. A network of openings was routed into the wood to hide return air vents and allow for proper ventilation.

A thoughtfully-curated collection of art and eclectic objects round out the impressive space. Provenance’s Independence Mall marble and antique wooden beams were transformed into furniture and our craftsmen refurbished a 19th-century bookcase to hold the CEO and co-founder’s library of books.
