Hamilton steel printer’s cabinet with 48 drawers. Each drawer has two embossed pulls. Handwritten labels remain on the front. The maker’s mark on the back reads, “Hamilton MFG Co., Two Rivers, Wisconsin.” There is a fair amount of wear on the metal, especially the top. James Edward Hamilton, a skilled woodworker, founded the J.E. Hamilton Holly Wood Type Company in 1880. Based in Two Rivers, WI, it quickly became the go-to source for wood type, cabinets, and furniture.
