  • These sturdy beams often served as the foundation of rural structures and laid beneath the floorboards of many a barn. With both round and flat surfaces, it’s our most rustic option. The top and bottom are hand hewn into a flat surface, while the original live edge remains on the curved sides.

    Provenance’s headquarters are a short trip away from rural Pennsylvania – one of the country’s most verdant agricultural regions. That means beams and joists from the finest antique rural structures are practically in our backyard. Farmers cleared away nearby groves of oak, maple and hickory, and then used the sturdy hardwoods to construct the outbuildings and barns that kept their livestock and hardwon harvests safe.

    Provenance treats its beams like a work of art, putting each one through a rigorous process before it reaches you. We whisk debris from the surface, remove hardware left over from the original structure, and then kiln dry them to eliminate insects lurking inside. We also offer a variety of finishes to suit your project.

    Reclaimed beams are 100% FSC-certified recycled and eligible for LEED Credits.
