Bruno Weil Thonet Chairs

Pair of bent plywood chairs designed by Bruno Weil for Thonet. The ergonomically-shaped backrest and scooped seat make this chair as comfortable as it is eye-catching. 

Thonet has long been known for its craftsmanship and considered design. The company’s patented wood bending process was an important milestone in creating attractive, yet affordable furniture. Founded in Austria in the 1800s, the company expanded to the United States in 1941. Since then, many influential designers including Mies Van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer have collaborated with Thonet to produce iconic chairs. 

There is some wear on the wood, but overall these are in excellent condition.

Toledo Typing Table

Whether you use a laptop or an old-school typewriter, this table is a unique place to tackle deadlines. When the workday is over, fold up the hinged drop-leaf wooden desk and roll down the metal tambour door. Jappaned finish on the sides and base.

Manufactured by the Toledo Metal Furniture Company. The Ohio-based company launched in the late 1800s and was known for its well-made industrial chairs, tables, desks, and cabinets.

Pagholz Chairs

Stackable Pagholz chairs with ergonomically-shaped shell seats and steel bases. Don’t be fooled … though these chairs may look delicate, they’re fabricated to withstand plenty of use. The seats are made from thin layers of wood veneer that are molded into shape with up to 2,000 tons of pressure during the production process. 

A stamp on the underside reads, “West Germany, Pagholz”. Set of eight. Very good condition.
